Mr. M H Jowher

Born on 6th September 1953, Mr. M H Jowher is an administrator, manager, teacher, consultant and a concerned social being. A qualified and trained banker, he served the banking industry - commercial, international, and cooperative- for 18 years and has been the CEO of two banks.

He is a visiting faculty to various institutions like Ahmedabad Management Association [AMA], Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad [IIM-A], bankers’ training colleges and other management training institutes. A popular public speaker and seminar conductor, he is regularly invited by various public institutions for presenting papers at seminars and symposiums. For several years he edited two management journals for the AMA and chaired its Research and Publications Committee. Incidentally, AMA was declared the best local management association of India for seven consecutive years.

Mr. Jowher is an accredited and active member of the Consultancy Development Centre [of the Govt. of India], the Institute of Management Consultants of India and All India Management Association. He is also the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Gujarat Regional Branch.

He is the Promoter-Managing Director of MANFIN and is in overall charge of the affairs of the professionally managed group.

For long he rendered voluntary services as the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Banks’ Association [Gujarat] and as member of its Central Committee on Banking Operations and Development besides as Secretary of the Bankers' Club at Srinagar [J & K] and at Ahmedabad.

Keenly interested in advances of science and technology, Mr. Jowher is the Coordinator of the IEEE's Special Interest Group on Management & Information Technology [SIG-MIT] at Ahmedabad.

He has co-founded and is the Chairman of the Gujarat Internet Users’ Group -GIUG [http://www.webmasters-india.net/giug] which has membership from all over the world.

A concerned social activist, he actively supports various national causes including the promotion of communal harmony, rational thinking, corruption-free administration and pollution-free environment.
